i have a huge kitchen at my disposal (not my own); vegetables, cans of this and that and spices are scattered about, prepared to go into a cauldron of minestrone i started a few days ago.
i'm preparing ahead so as to freeze the leftovers to heat up later at home over my hotplate.. nothing like a 6-burner gas range to simmer over!.
The contest was for she crab soup
confusion plagued the judging group
each bowl was so intensely fine
they couldn't make up their own mind
one added sherry for some zest
two judges felt it was the best
another bowl was full of crab
the judges said that wasn't bad
The crowd was waiting to dig in

i remember the movie marathon man and the nazi dental torture "is it safe?" Anytime one has to undergo medical procedures it feels like your being tortured by aliens or nazi's.

The tired lonely man adrift in a peculiar dream awakes to find himself surrounded by his loving family. He attributes his inability to recognize their faces to some medicinal side effect and accepts their love and comfort but something during the visit sends a chill up his spine. Another man wakes up alone in an unfamiliar room looking for his family and as he gazes out the window he feels his stomach crashing to the floor.

Lost in a distorted world of swirling hallucinations and empty spaces she remembered the wibblish way but chartreus optic nerve bolts coursing across her field of vision and gray blobs outlined in navy blue blocked the way. a mad scientist had injected her with a drug called jetrea and the vitreous gel was rapidly ripped from the retina in a horrifying four days and nights of hell and yet the empty spaces remained. She did not despair but continued on her trek only to be confronted by a new monster who removed a cataract with difficulty having to stitch her cornea closed. She had weird eyes the pupils too small the lense too large and now another monster stood in her way the dragon who would perform a vitrectomy and torture her would ten days in captivity lying face down. Oh would it ever end and would she find her way back.

I'm going to try my best to return to the game but this seven month eye trauma has made it difficult. Although the initial problem is repaired my dominant right eye is in a three legged race with the left eye and my brain. So I have to deal with sporadic fun house vision especially when reading and using the computer. i wondered if everyone would be here and I'm pleased to see that the literary music is still playing.

i haven't been able to post due to eye problems. A renegade floater tore a hole in my retina and it's been a long nightmare. Still having focus problems but they assure me my eyes and brain will soon figure it out.

bobby, my little brother, got an egg once a week for breakfast and sis and i got oatmeal.
oatmeal everyday with blue powdered milk.

I noticed you mentioned Salinas which made me remember a very strange witness family that came from the prunedale congregation they were by far a weird bunch he was an elder and his whole family were pioneers. it was fun to ride around with them because you could spend the day cruising around counting time and never talking to anyone. i often wonder what happened to them the whole family loved wearing their pioneer beanies it was pioneer never never land.

i hate oatmeal and really I don't like any cereal i start most mornings with a protein shake and vitiamins, supplements and coffee. i only eat eggs if I'm in a restaurant for breakfast or a brunch maybe.
